Now this is big, in a small way: Could there be a Volume 18B?

Searching for a copy to buy of Volume 18A, I discovered a researcher's list, at Creighton University, which details some of the Best in Children's Books, https://www.creighton.edu/aesop/books/seriesbooks/bestinchildrensbooks/
This site (Creighton's) says that 18A has Five Favorite Fables, illustrated by Rojankovsky and Let's Visit the Belgian Congo.
OK, now I'm getting a bit confused. I thought 18A was the one which had Israel in it, but I just checked my copy of Volume 18 and it has Israel - but with an African warrior on the spine, as mentioned on the Creighton site. The dust jacket is d'Lauraire's George Washington; the first story is The Land of Storybooks.
Perhaps there's an error on the Series page?
Unfortunately, the Creighton page does not list all the BiCBs (although referencing the Univ. of Southern Mississippi index by Dee Jones).

Well! MY dust jacket back flap for Volume 18 has the three animal photos and Beauty and the Beast on the back, as yours does.
And the jacket is marked 18, also. And has Israel in it.
Curious, isn't it. We have identical covers but different contents for 18.
Yes, let's find a real true 18A.

But...my 18 has Israel in it, not the Belgian Congo.

The researcher or whatever at Creighton speculated it had to do with Belgian Congo getting their independence (and renaming their country?) at about that time, i.e. when BiCB 18 was published or soon after.

Well, since there really are "A" volumes that have an A on them (# 10 & 19), I guess I thought # 18 did too. But maybe it slipped past Mary Macnab's capable editing hands.
I'm eager to see the jacket that says Belgian Congo, too!
It would be very nice if one of the other members with it would chime in here. I invited one of them to the group.

I just scored a Best in Children's Books Volume 18, with the Belgian Congo. The dust jacket is the same as the jacket for Volume 18 with Israel (based on the image shown on Amazon). I look forward to seeing that index!

Frustrating...I can't believe how excited I feel about getting the BiCB with the Belgian Congo! And today, the book came...and it was NOT the right one. Sigh. It is Volume 18, Let's Visit Israel.

I bought it through an Amazon seller...I sent them an email yesterday, but haven't heard back yet.

The little tale continues. I bought a Volume 18, which has Belgian Congo in it, but alas, no dust jacket. The search goes on. To differentiate the two Volume 18's, I think I'll list them as "18, Israel" and "18, Belgian Congo".
Or is there a better way?

For my new addition, I put a picture of the Belgian Congo map in lieu of the actual cover. I also took a picture of the table of contents, but thought the map looked better.

Hooboy, the author page for Mary Macnab has 18 and 18A with some of each in BOTH, ie Israel & Congo listed as 18; Israel & Congo listed as 18A.
At first I thought I'd try and deal with that, but no way. I'll just keep my own copies the way I want.
