Winter Solstice, a natural, observable astronomical phenomenon when the days begin to lengthen. Worthy of celebration.

Hurray for longer days! (At least in the Northern Hemisphere.) It always feels like the switch just barely comes in time, when I can't stand one more day of early darkness. I light a lot of candles at this season.

I hadn't heard of Litha or Liþa before. It's always good to learn something new. Did you celebrate with a fire festival?

Taphophile13. I'm celebrating Tonight, but it's gonna be small, as I live in a very christian dominated area. Just not going to church, and working on a sunday makes people avoid you, so a big festival is totally out of the question
