sex and horror

Werewolf of Paris and Man-wolf both have sex as central themes. Not sure if it's censorship, but there seems to be few sexy horror stories. Maybe self-censorship is the reason for only implied sex in horror stories? Maybe Carmilla by LeFanu? Except for recent sexy horror, any other favorites?

With Poe, sex is ever-present but only implied. Haven't read recent sexy horror like Ann Rice, et al.

Arthur Machen's "The Great God Pan" trafficks mildly in feminine erotic energy. The female character generates a sort of psychic sexual havoc that ruins several lives.

Also the Sansom story, "A Woman Seldom Found" is a potentially erotic tale that sort of devolves into something sinister (a common enough theme in horror films and undergraduate sagas). In thinking on that story, I am put in mind of a famous song by Peter and the Test Tube Babies. Can anyone name that tune?

Then there's what the Cthulhu looked like and HP Lovecraft's terrible track record with the opposite sex.

Sounds a lot like Against Nature and 120 Days of Sodom, a dark commingling of the sacrament and perversion, pleasure and death.

Zack Parsons by the way has contributed a parody of Lovecraft to A Commonplace Book of the Weird, which brings me back to >7 paradoxosalpha: I can't help thinking that Machen might well have been horrified to learn he'd anything in common w. Lovecraft except, possibly/probably and anachronistically, a Fox News state of mind.
