Adding a Second Copy of the Same Book

What is the recommended process for adding a second copy of the same book to my library? I would like to shortcut the usual "Add Book" procedure. Can I copy all of a given book's information into my library and thus increase my library's total books by 1?

There's also a "copies" field when you edit, so you can bump that up to two and call it a day.

My understanding is that when you bump up the "copies" field, for instance, from "1" to "2", the total number of books in your library does not increase by "1". Is that your understanding, too? I am trying to make the number of books shown for my library to be as accurate as possible. Since I have multiple copies of some books, I'm just trying to find the most efficient way to accomplish this. Thanks for your response. Tom.

At the moment, Add books is the only way to enter multiple copies if you want a record for each.

I too have many copies of some books and records, and I would love to be able to click "Add another" or something like that. Any plans on something like this in the future. By the way, I love this site.

If you entered from a library source, Overcat should include the entry you used.

We really need an option where we can duplicate the book so we don't waste time entering the same book 3 or 4 times in our library.
