Cam Jansen and the Cat-Napping Mystery is TERRIBLE!

At my school, they were giving away books. I decided this would be the perfect chance to grab some good reads from their shelves. I stumbled upon Cam Jansen and the Catnapping Mystery, started reading it, and loved it. Until I came to the part when the police question the thief. He didn't do much, in fact he sort of just, well, gave up. I expected something a little more exciting than the thief saying, "Here, just take me and give the cat and the stuff back to their real owner". Who's with me?
