Why is Sir Dinadan left out of almost all modern versions of the Arthur Story? Only T.H. White gives him as much as a line. I'm simply gobsmacked on this omission. Malory has reasonable coverage, and one version of the Tristan Legend, but nothing modern.

Do you know The Merriest Knight? Dinadan is the central character.

He also gets a bit of work in A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court-- depending on what you consider "modern."

There's The Ballad of Sir Dinadan by Gerald Morris. It's the fifth book in The Squire's Tales series. Also, I am fairly certain Dinadan makes appearances in other books in the series, albeit in a more minor role. Yes, the books are written for younger readers, but I quite enjoy them.
