Santa and other family well-wishers provided me with the following books for the holidays:
Target: Rabaul: The Allied Siege of Japan's Most Infamous Stronghold by Bruce Gamble
Pacific Blitzkrieg: World War II in the Central Pacific by Sharon Tosi Lacey
The U.S. Navy and the War in Europe by Robert C. Stern
Did you get any good titles?

The Gathering Storm: Naval War in Northern Europe, September 1939 to April 1940 by Geirr Haarr...a really good looking book.

The Gathering Storm: The Naval War September 1939 to April 1940 by Geirr Haarr is definitely on my list of the top 10 naval WWII books of 2013.

The first gift I opened was The Monuments Men. I forced myself to open the other gifts before I started reading it.

Oh. My mother gave me that last year. She has some connection to the author, as I recall. I'm interested to know if it's good.

So far yes, it is very good. I have had it on my wish list thanks to my interest in public history, I probably got it because George Clooney is making it into a movie.
