I've pre-ordered the Kindle version of the single issues - that way I can justify buying the paper version of the collected as well once it comes out. :) Looking forward to seeing how it is!

I'm curious about it but I won't be reading it until they're collected in a proper volume, and maybe not for a while after that.

Well, I've read the first one now and, although it's not very long and only barely gets the story going, I have to say the art is absolutely fantastic.

Yes we gave in and bought it. I realised why I hate the format not enough to get your teeth into yet and sooo many adverts in the paper one.. although there is a pullout spread in it. Fab artwork as you say though & full of promise.

Goodness the ads in those little paper ones! My library has a copy of "Vol 1" of the newest incarnation of Unknown Soldier which is actually bound single ones, I was so confused when reading it why like every 2 pages there was an ad, like what the heck this isn't normal and could it be any more annoying?! until I realized what was going on. I am still clueless as to why they did that, when they have another, proper, copy of it and I've never encountered that with any of the other titles they hold.

Managed to never have the copy on us when we saw Neil Gaiman doing his various signings at the world fantasy con though!

Well, that's a given. I do stuff like that too - so typical.

"comics fans are sad"

Yep, yep we are. BUT, I'd rather get a story that's well thought out and as close to the vision as possible, than one slapped together simply to meet a deadline.

Thanks for that link!
