Holmes on the Range

I'm reading Holmes on the Range, the first book in a series about a couple of cowboy brothers who do detective work in the tradition of Sherlock Holmes. It takes place during the time of Sherlock Holmes, and one of the brothers is the brain who uses Holmes' methods, and the other brother tells the story and I am assuming will be the brawn, since he claims to be as big as a house. I can't recommend it since I've not finished the book, but it does have some entertaining dialogue and observations, and makes me chuckle occasionally. The author is Steve Hockensmith.
