Hey everyone! This is my fourth books read challenge. The first I read 74 books; the next 71 and last year 62. So I'm not sure...Will this years challenge be EASY? or impossible? I'm a member of the Early Reviewers and Member Giveaway groups and review books here and several other sites as well. My interests gravitate towards non fiction, gay themes, SF/Fantasy, and whatever catches my eye...Hope to hear from folks during the challenge!!
It's like in Caddyshack. When Chevy Chase's character is asked, " Well if you don't keep score, how do you measure yourself against other golfers?" Answer? "By height!" Same here...just for fun!!

Did you like the Leningrad book? I think the siege is really interesting and want to learn more, but don't really have an idea what to read. Would you recommend this?

I would, but with one reservation. The book is very densly packed with information from all sides involved. The Germans, Soviets, Nazis, communists, Russian people and citizens of Leningrad. The book frequently shifts between groups while talking about an event during the seige. It gets a bit overwhelming after a while, but it also give the most complete picture available of the siege. It can be slow going at times, but well worth the effort.

Oh, I saw the movie recently and enjoyed it! Didn't realise it was based on a book at the time, but reserved a library copy once I found out.

Oooh #10 is one of my favorites. Did you like it? It's ok to say no - one of my best friends hates Tana French.

You know, I loved the story but found the style of writing tedious and hard to get thru. Just sayin...
