Assuming that "the end of the world as we know it" will not arrive tomorrow, our Final ReadaThing of 2012 will start (for some folks) on Saturday, December 22nd
(see http://www.librarything.com/topic/145298 for details
or
http://www.librarything.com/wiki/index.php/Final_2012_ReadaThing to signup ).

Use the thread below to announce your reading plans.

On Saturday I'll start a LOGBOOK thread to track our reading during the ReadaThing.

I'll probably try make make some dent in the alternative Alices I've collected but haven't actually read yet. Alternative Alice

Hm, the link isn't quite doing what I want it to do.

I'll be trying to finish up A Tale of Two Cities, with maybe some Anne McCaffrey short stories (A Gift of Dragons) to break it up. And I will probably dip in and out of A Traveller's Christmas as well.

>3 Nicole_VanK: wow! That's quite a collection of Aliciana! Looking forward to your reports.
I keep meaning to go back and reread Alice (I have a couple different versions) . . .

I will be reading A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, Solaris and maybe starting The Stand. I'm doing a year of sci-fi.

I will be finishing Fame and Infamy by Iva Polansky, The Fault in our Stars by John Green, and The Color of Earth series. And somehow trying to catch up on writing in between all the holiday baking and reading!

I'm currently reading Siege by Ismail Kadare and will finish it when the Readathing starts.

Furthermore I intend to read from Member Giveaways:
- Let Slip the Dogs of War by Sara Barton
- A Plague O' Both Your Houses by Sara BArton
- On the Trail of the Scissorman by Michael Coorlim
- Bride of a Bygone War by Preston Fleming

We'll see how many of those books I'll be able to read until New Year :-)

I just started The Chaperone by Laura Moriarty so that's what I'll begin with. I'll probably finish it before the end of the challenge and I think next I'll go with either Swamplandia by Karen Russell or The Winter Queen by Boris Akunin.

I have 3 more TBR books to complete my 2012 reading challenge. So I'm not sure what I will be reading, but I am determined to accomplish my goal! :) Happy Reading!

Probably continuing Andre Norton's Moonsinger series - I'm about 3/4 through Moon of Three Rings, the first book, but I doubt I'll have much time to read before the RaT starts at 4 pm my time. So finish Moon, Exiles of the Stars, and the omnibus Moonsinger's Quest (a library book). Then probably Magic Burns, my other library book. And, y'know, finish making/buying my Christmas presents, and bake, and my sister and her husband are coming, and after Christmas our parents need to pack for a trip to Panama... I'll probably have quite a bit of reading time on the 30th and 31st, as no one else will be here. If my clients leave me alone. I'm on the No Timeline list, as I have exactly no idea when I'll get some reading in...I'll try to update the timeline with when I actually manage it.

I have 2 books planned so far. I will be finishing up 2 book club books and they are:

The Other Queen by Philippa Gregory
The Heretics Daughter by Kathleen Kent

If I finish these books I will also be reading some of my ER books. I can't remember the titles right now.

I bought a copy of The Book Thief at a library book sale for my daughter. She flew through it and returned it to me. I read it about 7 years ago and thought it was a good thing to reread. I recommend it all the time to teens and adults.

I'm trying to finish The Girl Who Played with Fire by Stieg Larsson before the end of the year. It's the final book I need to read to complete my Eclectic Reader Challenge.
