Offline usage

Hey,

I want to create a small mobile(android) application, that can retrieve user's books (and related info, including series info), and can store it for offline usage.

"LibraryThing JSON Books API" can do the first part, except it is not allowed to use it offline (though I remember reading somewhere on LT that Amazon has changed it's licensing options and allow mobile usage, or atleast that is what I remember), is there any update on that?

Also, is there any API to get CK data (specifically series)?

P.S: By offline use, I just mean use should be able to store it and browse the data even without internet connection.
