CHICKEN SOUP AND OTHER DEVOTIONALS: HOW TO SHELVE

Many books like Chicken Soup for the Soul books want to place themselves by topical area, for instance, one for nurses would be separated from the general group. I'd prefer to put them all on one shelf and perhaps offer extended checkouts for devotionals that are for periods of time (like yearly devotionals). Has anyone else done this, and what is your experience?

Our library is only beginning, but I like your idea of having them all together.

We use the Dewy Decimal System. The devotionals have their own number 424. I would put the Chicken Soup books together under 248, Christian Life, Practice and Experience since we have very few books outside the 200's, or Religion category, to separate by topics.
