Hi, I'm reading Punishments by Francis Henry King. This is the first book of his that I've read and I'm finding it amazingly good.

What do you guys think of Francis King?

Any recommendations?

I read that one a few months ago too. It was good but disturbing and I didn't get why this straight married guy was remembering a gay experience from when he was younger. There was something about it that just confused me.

PS. haven't read anything else by him.

For a wonderful and revealing read, try YESTERDAY CAME SUDDENLY (1988) -- written after King's long-time partner died of AIDS!

I actually stumbled on Francis Henry King a few months ago for the first time-- I picked up A Domestic Animal after seeing Peter Cameron recommend it on his website. I liked it quite a bit, and I was floored that I'd never heard of him before.

I'm reading Punishments now-- thanks for the recommendation!
