The Jan. 30th issue of Time magazine has an article with the (dumb) title "Charles in Charge" and the above subtitle. Author Radhika Jones explains how Dickens led the way in establishing fiction writing as a profitable enterprise with a strong orientation to audience. A number of firsts are attributed to him. Jones considers the implications of the current transition in publishing and expresses the confident expectation that Dickens' popularity will survive it handily.

I'm wondering if members of this group have read the article and, if so, what they thought of it.

Charles in Charge? Did she obtain quotes from Willy Aames, Scott Baio and Nicole Eggert? Otherwise, I am not interested.

Actually I was hoping for a comment on the article itself. I didn't pick the title, but I thought mentioning it was a useful way to identify the article.
