I'm looking to re-read The Iliad after several years (could it be decades? egad!). So far, I've read translations by Chapman, Pope, Lattimore and Fagles, and enjoyed them all, each in its own way.
But I'm finding that there's been a virtual explosion of new translations -- Stephen Mitchell, Rodney Merrill, Stanley Lombardo, Anthony Verity, others?
Any recommendations?
