Just thought I'd drop a pointer to one of my favorite comic book artists, Jason Thompson. I love his incredibly detailed style of art.
One of his favorite things to do is illustrate Lovecraft (and other Mythos) stories. You can see some here:

He has a Kickstarter project to collect a bunch in a graphic novel, but the page for it isn't up yet.

That fourth panel of "Celephais" page 10 is great: the hands throwing his books after him onto the street is a lovely way to communicate the moment.

Check out his kickstarter project:

I'm really looking forward to finally getting my hands on those stories.

He just finished a really cool map (click for larger version):
Color Map of H.P. Lovecraft’s Dreamlands
This has taken me way too long to finish, but here it is: the color poster map of the Dreamlands! Based loosely on the black and white version I did a few months ago, but much revised, it includes all the place-names mentioned in The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath, The Doom That Came to Sarnath, The Quest of Iranon, The White Ship, The Cats of Ulthar, The Other Gods and all of Lovecraft’s even marginally dream-based stories and poetry. In addition, it shows regions from the work of the great Gary Myers, Lord Dunsany and a few other sources which feel like they would be at home in the collective “realm of wisdom that many know.”
You can see a bigger version on flickr, and if you’re interested, we’re selling the posters at the Mock Man Press store. The final poster is 24×36″ and is being printed locally in Seattle on fade-resistant inks. This was a huge amount of fun to make, and I’ll write more about it in another blog post soon, but for now: it’s done! Hope you like it!
