Any Good Sherlockian Bookstores in London?

Any Good bookstores in London that cater to the Sherlockian? Is the Sherlock Holmes Museum worth a visit?

Probably will be over that way in few weeks.

Looking in my 2003 copy of Book Lovers' London there are two specialist crime book dealers, the late, lamented Murder One (may still function on-line??) and Crime in Store in Store St, WC1. That had relocated from Covent Garden but Google searches suggest that it has gone the way of so many.

I'm a Londoner, so of course I don't go to London museums - well, occasionally ;-) - so I don't know what 221b Baker Street is like. From the other side of the road it looks like the kind of place to go if you want to buy a 'Turkish' slipper to store your tobacco or an overpriced deerstalker, but I may be being unfair.

Sadly there are no longer any specialist crime bookshops in London (or indeed in England at all to my knowledge) Murder One has gone,but does indeed operate on-line. Crime-in Store has also closed. 221b Baker Street is a tourist trap pure and simple,which should only be entered if you are extra keen. In fact the Abbey National Building Society stands at 221b and issues (or used to issue a very nice booklet about Sherlock) More to the point the nearby Westminster Library has a superb Sherlock Holmes collection which is available for the public to view.

I kind of figured the museum was a tourist trap, but I'll probably go anyway despite the Cheesyness.

I knew about Murder One closing.

I believe there is still a specialist Mystery Store in 'Hay on Wye' called Murder and Mayhem, which I should make it to since my dad lives just a few miles from there and we're staying with him for a bit.
