Hi all
I'm new here so go gently on me. Firstly I'm looking for contacts, fans/readers of fantasy with a touch of humour - think Douglas Adams, Tom Holt, Robert Rankin, Terry Pratchett!
I'm an author and my blog is here:

I like to put my short stories on here - currently just uploaded part II of 'Reginald' - a chap who meets the strangest of new friends in a field miles from anywhere!
I'd love to find some more authors who write a similar genre too!
I look forward to hearing from you all!

Your behavior is beginning to closely resemble spamming. I suggest you stop posting and start reading before you get flagged.

Not to mention that the Weird Fiction does not even come close to any of the authors listed above... and I am pretty sure I saw the same posted in at least one more group.
And this is what I would call spam

And we also have a former wordpress.com support forum moderator here who loves bugging the Automattic folks about users of theirs who spam. :)

I've just read his message and it seemed perfectly innocent. Obviously his Pratchett style fiction is more humorous fantasy than weird fiction, but I thought red flags were for swearing, stalking teenagers, or promoting bigotry. I didn't realise it was so easy to get the red flag treatment.

It's the prohibition on "commercial solicitation and spam." Those red flags help keep talk from becoming a swamp of hamfisted book advertising.
