There are several authors I read/like who are part of a group known as Mystery Lovers' Kitchen (they have a blog with that name).

So, when I did tags for these authors in my own collection, I created a tag, "MLK", so I didn't have to type "Mystery Lovers' Kitchen" a bunch of times.

The problem is, apparently MLK is shorthand for Martin Luther King. Now when I pull up the various authors, in their tag clouds it is now showing "Martin Luther King", spelled out, and I'm pretty sure that's not right.

I went back and redid my tags to read "Mystery Lovers' Kitchen--MLK", but I don't know how to disassociate these authors/tags from Martin Luther King. Is there a way for me to safely use the MLK tag but not have it mean Martin Luther King? Can someone clean it up, or walk me thru (baby steps) of how to fix it myself? I figured I'd better ask first before trying to do anything else that might make it worse.

Authors in question that I know of (there may be others) connected to this tag problem:

Cleo Coyle
Mary Jane Maffini
Sheila Connolly
Wendy Lyn Watson
Julie Hyzy
Avery Aames
Riley Adams
Krista Davis

Thanks for reading and for any help that may be posted.

It's a matter of tag combination. At one point, the MLK tag was combined with "Martin Luther King". There should be a separation proposal to split it apart, since we try not to combine acronyms with complete names unless it's unambiguous (and MLK isn't an unambiguous acronym).

But it's not something you can do about the authors - once the tags update again, the Martin Luther King tag should be removed from the author pages, and hopefully the separation will go through and if you did want to use the shorter MLK tag, you wouldn't then see the full name on the author pages.
