I'm working with the all-volunteer not-for-profit

struggling to survive here in Berkeley with 3,400 books on LT so far.

We are using LT as our "inventory control system" and need to change
our approach to add putting books online for sale. What do you think
would be the best way to accomplish both tasks with the data we have
developed in LT?

"What are the smaller inventory control systems which are working for
well for LT?"

I just read Tim's post on "Local Book Search"
http://www.librarything.com/blogs/librarything/2009/11/local-book-search-a-new-w...

where he describes what we are doing in reverse...trying to bring the
data over from small book store's "inventory control system". We are
starting from LT and now need an "inventory control system" mainly for
putting books online. Secondarily, we are considering the need for
that system to functions with processing orders in the store like a
cash register. Currently, we run the cash register and then check it
off in LT. When we receive books, we put them in LT first.

Ngugi wa Thiong'o will be reading at our store tomorrow night! We have
many prominent authors speaking at our store you can read about on our
blog.
