So far I only have the Get Healthy Go Vegan by Neal Barnard, 100 Vegan Recipes by Robin Robertson, and Appetite for Reduction by Isa Chandra Moskowitz. Any more recommendations for a good vegan cookbook?

What kind of food do you like? I have read dozens of vegan cookbooks and it really boils down to the type of cuisine you like. Here are the vegan cookbooks in my library: http://www.librarything.com/catalog/lemontwist&deepsearch=vegan%2C+cookbook feel free to browse through there for some ideas.

By the way, looks like not all of the cookbooks in that link are vegan, so check the tags field, if it doesn't say vegan then the cookbook had some non-vegan recipes in it.

Many people feel that Veganomicon is one of the best vegan cookbooks.

Have you checked out the cookbooks for Arsenal Pulp Press? Many of them are vegan.

Tastes of Ayurveda is vegetarian. How it all Vegan! is a two-time winner of the Veggie Award (from VegNews). Hope one of these will catch your fancy!

My current favourite is Chloe's Kitchen by Chloe Coscarelli. All the recipes are simple and delicious. I know, I've cooked most of them!

My favorite is Vegan Planet by Robin Robertson. It is my go-to cookbook. No pictures but wonderful recipes.

Macrobiotic cookbooks are mostly vegan. Macrobiotics is a natural lifestyle and diet that emphasizes eating low on the food chain, with virtually all food choices being "whole foods". In the last 15 years, several vegan macrobiotic books have been written. For people with health issues, a healing vegan macrobiotic cookbook has been written: Love, Sanae It's pricey, around $50.00, because it uses a lot of color photos...so much information has been lost on how to prepare natural foods that much basic training is now needed for most of us...this book does that.

For example, keep in mind that studies are starting to reveal that refined sweeteners are especially harmful for vegetarians and vegans. So, what to use? Rapunzel makes a whole sugar that is completely unrefined. I sometimes use Grade B maple syrup (more flavorful than A) in preparing desserts (both these ingredients work in cooked, baked, and raw desserts). Be aware, however, that there is tremendous variability in maple syrup quality. Specifically, the only safe maple syrups are organic, and I recommend the Vermont syrup over the Canadian.

My overall favorite vegan macrobiotic cookbook is Mary Estella's Natural Foods Cookbook: Vegetarian Dairy-Free Cuisine. It's out of print, but many used copies are available.

I also recommend the Forks Over Knives Cookbook. Overall, those recipes are consistent with the message of the documentary Forks Over Knives, which interviews the researchers who are expert on how to reverse the coronary artery disease that is currently the #1 North American cause of mortality, Caldwell Esselstyn MD and T. Colin Campbell PhD. The DVD of this documentary has an endorsement on its cover from TV's Dr. Oz, a cardiac surgeon, who says simply, "I loved it and I want you all to see it!"

My mom is all about Sticky Fingers Sweets if you're into making vegan desserts. And I am all about eating the things she makes from this book.
