I thought we needed a thread for new book discoveries, purchases or lucky finds.
Friday a friend gave me a lovely volume called Schoolgirls' Holiday Book. It is probably from 1920-1930 illustrated with both black and white and plates and filled with stories of plucky girls as well as plant identification and nature guides.
Illustrators include Leslie Otway, E.E. Hodgson, D.C. Eyles and C.P. Shilton
All illustrators are new to me and the book is splendid so I am feeling quite spoiled right now.
