List of common misconceptions: additions?

I cartoonist I enjoy mentioned this list of common misconceptions in a cartoon recently: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_misconceptions; and I entertained myself for a while reading it (instead of studying...). My question: what should be added to it? So far I have:

-Sharks do not need to swim continuously to keep breathing, and they do stop swimming to sleep.
-A.D. does not stand for 'after death', it stands for Anno Domini, the Year of Our Lord.

There's got to be more. Any ideas?
