I'm starting this thread because I'm interested in what spiritual books Catholic science fiction readers find particularly meaningful.
I mentioned in another thread that I liked:
Brother Astronomer by Brother Guy Consolmagno
Brother Guy is a Jesuit astronomer who splits his time between Tucson, AZ and Rome. He's the curator of the Vatican's meteorite collection. I enjoyed reading his take on the whole science vs. religion debate because I felt the same way - there is no conflict.
Another favorite:
Crossing the Threshhold of Hope by Pope John Paul II
I'm 38 years old, so Pope John Paul II was the only Pope I really knew. I found this book (on audio, actually) when I started looking into the Church again after falling away. It brought me a long way.

Ravi Zacharias
Ravi is not Catholic, but has a Christian ministry based in Atlanta, GA that focuses squarely on apologetics. He's got a website here: http://www.rzim.org. Looking at the site now, I see that he's got a podcast of a debate between Richard Dawkins and Alister McGrath available.
What he was able to do for me was to make Christianity philosophically reasonable. From there, it was downhill. I have a few of Ravi's books, and I still listen to his podcast, which is called "Let My People Think". Good stuff.

You might be interested in some of Scott Hahn's books (he has written a number of good books for Catholics as he himself is a convert to the faith). Also, if you don't find him too heavy, Fr. Benedict Groeschel's Spiritual Passages is quite interesting.
