Book tastes

My mom, LT member Twylabear, likes non-gritty mysteries, historical novels about female doctors or nurses, and middle grade animal adventures. She also likes happy nonfiction about bears, cats, dogs, and horses.

She likes Mary Stewart's Gothic novels, especially Nine Coaches Waiting and Touch Not the Cat. She'd probably like similar mid-twentieth-century authors.

Anything too grim, including animal abuse, climate change/extinction, or gore
