My genre interests broadly include history, philosophy, classical antiquity, and literature. Within philosophy, I'm drawn toward applied ethics and jurisprudence. On the subject of history, I focus my attention on early American history. I have many topical interests, to include: the United States Navy, Native Americans, genealogy and family history, beekeeping and the natural world of North America. In literature I prefer the classics and classical epic. I collect any edition of Homer's Odyssey. I appreciate Folio Society, Everyman's Library, and Library of America editions.
