- My library contains an odd assortment of books the majority of which have been passed on to me [books, for example, by Brunner and Barclay that I would have never purchased for myself]. Many of these books I do not endorse in whole or even in part. Arminius' works, for example, are opposed to the doctrines of grace that I have come to know and love. These are not books that thrill my soul. Nevertheless, I find it helpful to familiarize myself with these and other 'lesser' works. There are, however, books that I refuse to own or even read: these are books espousing the teachings of the 'prosperity gospel', and/or books written by hyper-dispensationalists [ie. Mr. Hagee]. Spurgeon once said, “I do not care to read books opposed to the Bible, I never want to wade through mire for the sake of washing myself afterwards.” Neither do I.

I am married to my best friend and the joy of my life; I have a wonderful, dear little (3 1/2 year old) boy who I love with all my heart and now a beautiful precious little girl (almost 2 already!); I have the best job in the world; and I have Jesus: my ALL in ALL, my Savior, my King and my Friend...
