Sobre mí

I've been a Community Organizer in the Bronx most of my life. I was also the Director of a crisis center for approx 25 years, where we help over 1,000 families a year with eviction and foreclosure prevention, hunger etc. I retired 2 years ago and in the middle of the pandemic moved with my husband who is in failing health to a senior housing complex in suburban Maryland near my third son and his family.

I am the mother of 4 sons, grandmother of 6. Since we moved to Maryland, we are now involved in the lives of 3 of my grandchildren, two boys ages 14 and 9, and a 5 year-old girl.

In my spare time (such that it is) I am a working artist - media: photography, drawing, and some crafts. I also love word puzzles.
