Sobre mi biblioteca

I read mostly novels by women (e.g., Virago Modern Classics and Persephone Books) and books about American history. The books catalogued here still only represent a small fraction of the books in my house.

Sobre mí

I've lived in Minnesota since 1990, except for one academic year (2006-2007) spent in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, England. I have a Ph.D. in classics from Brown University, and I occasionally teach Latin. But mostly, I'm a writer. My poetry chapbook, The Collecting Jar, won the 2004 Grayson Books Poetry Chapbook Competition, and a selection of my poetry was included in the anthology 33 Minnesota Poets. I've also published essays and short stories in The New England Review, Pleiades, and elsewhere. My wife is a classics professor. We have two sons.
