- Doug Whitaker is married to his beautiful wife Sara and the proud father of two amazing daughters and one manly son. Doug is an avid reader, a staunch Baxter’s Coffee consumer, and a veteran having served in the United States Air Force.
He previously lived abroad in Japan for three years and in Indonesia for over two years, on the islands of Java and Sumatra. Doug has traveled to more than 10 countries to include Tanzania and Kenya in Africa, Mexico, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Diego Garcia, and Thailand.
Doug previously studied at Samford University where he received his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree and then at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received his Master of Divinity degree (M.Div.) followed by doctoral level, post graduate study in Missional Leadership. Doug is currently pursuing his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) at The Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law.
Doug is currently a Law Clerk at the Donahue Law Group in Somerset, Ky and previously served as a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Jeffrey T. Burdette, Chief Regional Circuit Judge for the 28th Judicial Circuit, which presides over Rockcastle, Pulaski, and Lincoln counties of Kentucky. Doug is an ordained minister, a trained law enforcement chaplain, a lifetime member and recruiter for the NRA, and a certified Firearms Instructor in the state of Kentucky. In February 2014 Doug was awarded a Kentucky Colonel’s commission by the Governor thereby holds the honorary title of “Kentucky Colonel”. - Ubicación
