Sobre mí
I have taken a children's literature course with Project LEAD at FSU. Reading all of the children's books was quite hectic, but I was fascinated by the many different types of literature out there for children and am excited about being knowledgeable so that I can expose my own personal children to them. Currently, I do use young adult literature in my classroom. As a middle school teacher, I use young adult literature in order to teach writing. My favorite YA author right now in Lois Lowry and The Giver is my favorite YA book. I love the themes in the book and feel that the students in middle school can relate to them. For example, conforming is something they all do, but The Giver shows that sometimes, it may not always be the best way to go about living.
