Sobre mi biblioteca
We are the library of Moorestown Monthly Meeting of the Religous Society of Friends. Friends are commonly referred to as Quakers. Please visit our Meeting's website to learn more about Friends and about our Monthly Meeting.
Our library is adjacent to our social room, with wide doors between the two rooms. The picture I have posted here is of the end of our library where the children's books are shelved, on the south and west walls at the same level as the windowsill. Children's books are displayed on the windowsill, the children's table and on the slanted display shelves under the window. The display area under the window was custom-built for us by one of our members. Although we have the four shelves in the slanted position now, if we need more shelf space in the future, they can be repositioned to be used as regular (but deep) shelves.
Sobre mí
I am the librarian for Moorestown Monthly Meeting's library. I am posting additions to our collection. We do not anticipate posting our entire catalog. We use ResourceMate for our private, secure records and for printing catalog cards and spine labels. We use the Dewey Decimal system.
Ignore "moorestownmeeting" on LibraryThing. It is a remnant of an earlier presence on LT and its contents have been deleted.
After you click "books: # books cataloged," LibraryThing will show you just that -- books we have put on LibraryThing. You will see our suggested catalog viewing style for the listing of items. If you click on one of the letters A through E, you may no longer be able to see a "comments" column that actually is a listing of Dewey Decimal numbers, which are needed in order to find items in the library. If you want to see detailed information about a book, click on the upper left quadrant of the blank rectangle to the far right. (Don't be concerned that the words "edit info" appear in that area: you won't be able to edit.) This rectangle is a glitch that appeared after a site "improvement". You definitely will see this if you used InternetExplorer. If you approached via Google Chrome you will see the real improved site and it is more user friendly! Before you leave the site, please return to our profile page. Thank you.
P.S. Use your browser's "back" button to return to our site after browsing LibraryThing's other features. If you use "home" you'll find yourself right back where you were when you started to search for us.
