I'm a fan of Shakespeare, but also an unabashed lover of children's lit (Harry Potter, His Dark Materials, etc). I'm also into historical fiction and nonfiction- you can see from my collection that the Tudor period is kind of a personal favorite (it has its own tag!). I work at a bookstore, so I'm always looking for new books to shamefully spend my paycheck on (instead of saving it for college like a good girl). The bookstore job is also the reason for all the awesome advance copies, which are listed as hardcovers in the librarything.com system but are actually paperbacks. I've really just begun to appreciate poetry, but I'm working on it.

20-year-old woman from Ohio. I read to escape the mundanity of small-town life (I need adventures!). I'm a junior at Denison University. When I'm feeling down and I need to cheer up, I read Goldman's The Princess Bride and listen to Weird Al. When I'm happy and energetic, I read The Other Boleyn Girl and listen to The New Pornographers and Ben Folds. Quiet and introspective, some Pablo Neruda and Bat for Lashes.
