Pretty heavy on mind candy, originally as an alternative to heavy work-related reading. Now because my short-term memory isn't great, and my illness includes some cognitive challenges.

Total book-a-holic since childhood. Almost finished a PhD in epidemiology (about 9 months away) when I became seriously ill and unable to work. The only upside is that all I really have energy to do is read and watch DVDs. DVDs definitely come in second. I received a kindle for Christmas, which makes it waaaay too easy to buy books, which is only partially made up for by the free books available for kindle.
