these are books I borrowed from my local library. would love to talk to others about books i have read and to hear what other's views of them. i have long ago realised that if i buy books i never read them. this is because i think that i have lots of time in future to read them and so they can wait. Whilst books from the library impels me to read them quick as they become due. it is a great way to get me to finish them or give up on them.
What i like about these websites about books is that they allow us to comment very freely giving our true feelings about the books, without fear. it is our personal space to let rip or to praise, to highlight those parts of the book we like or dont like. and because of the edit feature, we can have a ongoing review as we read the book rather than wait till we finish it to comemnt.
added. 10.6.17 i have not used this for a long time and only knew that it is still opened from a user adding me to their list and i was notified by email. added.23.8.17 got notification that i have been a member for 10yrs. that long.
