- Sobre mi biblioteca
- I like non-fiction best, with moderately high-brow mysteries thrown in for entertainment. Reginald Hill is, I think, a brilliant writer, but so are Donna Leon and Henning Mankell. Some of the books in my LibraryThing are currently in progress. Usually I read about 10 at a time. I also included old books that I've collected for research. I acquired quite a few for my book on department store history, Service and Style, and now I'm researching old restaurants, so that accounts for Eating Around San Francisco.
- Sobre mí
- Until about ten years ago I mainly read library books but now I buy them and they've started crowding me out of my house. But, come to think of it, a house is not really a home without books spilling out all over. I also write books, two so far. Right now I'm working on a social history of American restaurants. Who knew there were barbeque places in the 1760s?
