Sobre mi biblioteca
I read primarily for personal growth/ learning. My books are mostly nonfiction (history/biographies) or are by conservative christian authors, and are targeted to persons wishing to effectively live out the Gospel in a fallen world.
Sobre mí

Faith & Family: I was raised in an Episcopal church-going family, but was not exposed to the Christian Gospel until my college years. Since He found me, I have considered myself a charismatic Evangelical christian. Labels can be misleading, and for those familiar with such things, I would more like to be known as a reformed christian who is a continuist (i.e., non-cessationist). I have been committed to the local church and in leadership for many years.

I have been married to my bride, best friend, and soul mate since 1982 and have three grown children, one of whom is married. My family is my greatest pride and joy.

I was raised the 6th of 7 sons, born within an 8-1/2 year period on Long Island, NY; my parents did more than their part to contribute to the baby boom! I graduated from Babylon High School (NY) in 1978, where I played football, wrestled, and ran track.

Education: I attended the University of Iowa, where I majored in Biomedical Engineering ('82), and stayed for an MS in Mechanical Engineering ('84). I returned to school (p/t) in 2004 and completed an MS in Systems Engineering in March '07 at Florida Tech.

Career: I started work for Harris Corporation (now L3Harris Technologies, Inc.) in the June of 1984 and have been with them in different capacities ever since. I have designed, deployed, and supported systems that improve company productivity, such as an integrated "Product Lifecycle Management" (PLM) system (~10000 users). In my current role, I lead PLM/Engineering aspects of ERP transformation.

Other activities: I have been a runner most of my adult life (my only full Marathon at age 56). I served on the Pro/USER (computer user's group) Board of Directors (~10 years), on the School Board for a local Christian school (~6 years), and currently lead our Church's Building committee. I have coached tennis at two different local Christian schools 2012.

Personality: Myers-Briggs characterizes me as an "INTj", where I'm using capitals for strong characteristics: I am strongly Introverted, iNtuitive (vs Sensing), and Thinking (vs Feeling), with only a slight leaning towards Judging (vs Perceiving).
