First novel: The Return of No. 44
I have an MFA in the visual art; have taught art, worked in Web, television and print journalism. With my wife, Claire I have pedaled 39,000 miles around the world on a tandem bicycle: Beijing to Istambul, right the way 'round Australia..., crewed on a sailboat in the South Seas... I write and photograph for travel for magazines and a social/political site, justoneopinion.com; I write short stories and varied Web content. This is my first novel, in the works for ten years. It brings Mark Twain, his No. 44 and his style of picaresque novel into this century.
