- Eilbeck's small library (somewhat undercounted, since 70 volumes are not itemized) is listed in the inventory of his estate (PDF), taken 7 November 1765 and recorded 1 May 1766. His entire estate was valued at £2,213, 2 shillings, 4 pence.

- William Eilbeck (c. 1700 - 26 July 1764), Maryland landholder and local officeholder. At his death, Eilbeck was among the wealthiest men in Charles County.
Eilbeck emigrated from Whitehaven, Cumberland County, England. In Maryland, he served as a vestryman for Durham Parish, and in 1745 was a Gentleman Justice for Charles County. He also served as a colonel in the county militia. His plantation was known as "Mattawoman," located on the Potomac River.
His wife was Sarah Edgar; their daughter Anne married George Mason IV. - Ubicación
