- Sobre mi biblioteca
- The library at the Sherwin Miller museum is comprised of over 1400 print resources that include a holocaust studies collection, genealogical resources, and Judaica. However there are many more treasures that may surprise.
In our cosy reading room you will find books on art history, antiques, literature, and much more. We hope the collection you see here will serve as a sampler to the wider breadth of material we offer researchers. - Sobre mí
- The Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art - the largest collection of Judaica in the American Southwest - located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Our goal: To educate about the Jewish experience in Oklahoma, the United States, and the world. Through exhibitions and educational programs focusing on Jewish culture, history, religion, and art, the Museum works to deepen understanding of the Jewish people, their faith, and their history.
The Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was founded in 1966 as the Gershon & Rebecca Fenster Museum of Jewish Art, through the cooperative efforts of several local Jewish families. Their purpose was to bring the local Jewish community an understanding of its heritage through artifacts, as well as to serve as a resource center for non-Jews to learn about Jewish history and culture. The Museum's founding coincided with the acquisition of a collection of Judaica facilitated by Sherwin Miller, the museum's first curator. In 2000, the Fenster Museum was renamed the Sherwin Miller Museum in recognition of Mr. Miller's seminal vision. - Ubicación
