- A Brief Introduction to the Robson Reading Series...
Founded in 2002, the Robson Reading Series has been enlivening the literary community of Vancouver for over a decade. The UBC Bookstore and the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre are pleased to host a dynamic selection of authors whose poetry, fiction and creative non-fiction expand our knowledge of literature and the world through distinct approaches to style, subject and form.
As a centre for learning, it is our intention to foster the next generation of writers by providing them with a welcoming space to present their works to the community. All of our events are a combination of readings, audience-author conversations, book signings and mingling. All events are open to the public and admission is always free.
We offer this series to challenge our understanding of Canadian literature and to explore fresh ideas with some of the country's finest writers. We hope that you will join us!
The Robson Reading Series also presents afternoon readings throughout the academic year with our partners at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre on UBC's Point Grey campus. - Ubicación
