Sobre mi biblioteca

My Library is very eclectic. I have, and will read, almost anything. I find my taste has changed and grown over the years. Occasionally I'll get stuck in a particular topic, but I don't write anything off. There's just to many good books and authors out there! What you will see in my LibraryThing Library are those books I've read in the time since I joined, with a few exceptions for books I've wishlisted but don't own, and books I've read but have given up. I'm trying to narrow down those that are worth keeping around and bear reading a second or even third time. Since closing the store and the booth at the flea market, I've been sorting through and making a spreadsheet of those books I wish to keep. They haven't made it to my inventory here yet although I try to keep up with adding what I've just read. My good and helpful friend and I have come to the conclusion we may not live long enough to read everything in our libraries, but for some reason...that doesn't stop us from adding more...buying more...talking excitedly about what we're reading or sharing what we've just read!

Sobre mí

I love to read. I can't remember when I first became addicted to reading, but I learned at a very young age to always take a book along. Our family often travelled to relatives homes and occasionally there wasn't much to do there, so a book was helpful, if not a necessity. For as long as I can remember, I have never been without a book...and often more than one on the go at any one time.

Being a member of LibraryThing, and participating in the Early Reviewer Program has expanded my reading exponentially! After 4.5yrs of fighting the good fight, I closed my bookstore with a heavy heart. Since then, I've given it a good try at the flea market, but for some inexplicable reason, books are a really hard sell these days. Currently I'm downsizing the inventory and donating to places like Salvation Army, Goodwill and a very good friend who is helping with this huge project. I also plan to donate to a local hospital and women's emergency shelter once we sort enough books for them. Of course I'm keeping anything that interests me so you can imagine how huge my library is.
