My home bookshelves contain my own books, naturally, but also hundreds of books for children and teenagers, especially New Zealand titles. This is because I've been reading and reviewing young people's books for many years. I don't get paid - but I get to keep the books!

My name is Lorraine Orman. I am a New Zealand author of books for children and teenagers. When I was young I read all the time; when I grew up I became a librarian; when I gave up full time library work I started writing books and have produced ten published works so far. I can't envisage a time when I'm not writing. My latest project was publishing an e-book, a novel for teenagers set in New Zealand with a strong environmental theme. It's called Touchstone and is available from the usual online retailers such as Amazon, Smashwords, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, etc.
