Entertain me and feed me dark chocolate, and I'll be your friend. I like to laugh and experience things outside the ordinary. I write young adult novels.

My debut novel, My Invented Life, is a comedy of errors with mistaken identities, ambiguous sexuality, skate gods, stage geeks, and true love.

My next YA novel about a girl who wishes she was Chinese, involves a precarious friendship triangle, a midnight chase in a mini-Cooper, teen pregnancy, and a protest that goes wrong. It's called Miss Fortune Cookie. It will come out in the spring of 2011.
