I have a HUGE Library of multiple genres, however my favourites are YA, Fantasy, Sci-Fi and Mystery Thrillers.

Karen Wrighton is a British author who writes primarily for Young Adults and Children. Her work spans multiple genres including Fantasy, Dystopian, and Thrillers but always includes young adults as main protagonists. The reason is simple - she loves young people, which explains why she spent over 15 years in teaching before beginning her career as an author.



Karen was born in a small town in the English

county of Staffordshire and began writing and drawing from a young age. Karen's début novel 'Ascension of the Whyte' was an acclaimed, magical fantasy novel for young adults, and was the first book in the 'The Afterland Chronicles' series. The second book, 'Ryte of Passage', was published in May 2016. The books were influenced by series such as Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones and Harry Potter. The third book in the series - Ice and Fyre is due for publication winter 2016/17. Karen is also busy writing a dystopian young adult novel 'The Last Girl Guide' and the first of her Hoyle and Son Thriller series 'The Cuckoo Killer'.

Karen has two daughters and lives in Norfolk, England with her husband, John, their crazy dog Jinks and a very lazy cat called Pippin.
