Sobre mi biblioteca
This isn't my physical library, but books that I have read or plan to read. I actually own dozens of books not on here because I want to either add a review when I add them or just because having them is a reminder enough to read them.
I want to try to annotate everything I read from now on, other than fiction.

If you can tell me what I'm missing that's essential (not in a completist sense but in teaching me something that isn't in books I've read), I'd be most grateful. The essential tag marks what I think are essential reads (though I haven't finished using that tag).

Notes on rating:
I rate books relative to comparable books and my needs, not absolutely compared to all books or almost all of mine would have full stars making the rating field useless for me. Also, I have a "recommend" tag, because a book, esp. nonfiction, may have a low rating because of its relative usefulness to me but I think it would be useful to others.
'Classic' means must read by everyone (and so ratings for a classic might be low, but that's only compared to similar classics, all classics would rate higher on an absolute scale than 90% of non-classics).

Notes on tagging:
Adding books and tagging them has helped me notice trends, and to differentiate between books I want to read and books I want to read to complete informal research projects. So now I will be tagging those 'research' instead of 'toread'. See below for those projects (which again, tagging helped me realize I had these projects as implicit goals).
Only books marked 'toread' or 'research' are unread (minus "again" or "skim" or "readagain" or something else obvious) .
'Life' means useful for 'life mastery' (non-political important stuff on how to live).

I am also beginning to tag them with when I read them (highschool, college [all religion+left books are college], then the year if I remember).

Basic tag priority list for to read:
reading
toread (sublists: marxist classics, russian history, fiction, general political, and others)
priority
research projects as needed or desired

My loose goal is to read all the nonfiction toread items before reading the priority research items, but I may read some of those mixed in. I mainly want to plan on not reading nonprioritized research items before any of the above though (except some fiction).

* Now toread really means toread in 2008, and 'research' means 'want to read sometime'.
