- Sobre mi biblioteca
- The H.C.C. Guild Library consists of seveal parts: the library collections, the reprint library, and the papers. The principle library is a small collection of works dealing with shoemaking and the history of shoemaking, as well as several collections of papers. The Reprint Library holds copies of many historical works that can be copied for researchers. Finally there are the papers of researchers. The library is growing, mostly through donations although some purchases are made as need arises.
NOTICE: At this time, the books and papers are non-circulating and are housed in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Access to it is open; please contact the Guild Librarian for details.
The Reprint Library is available under the terms listed on the HCC website. - Sobre mí
- The Honourable Cordwainers' Company was founded in 1984 by a small group of shoemakers and historians, the H.C.C. is a modern guild, having drawn up its charter in 1985. In 1987 the HCC incorporated as a non-profit, tax-exempt educational organization in the state of Virginia, the home of America's first shoemakers. Also in 1987, we were granted official status through recognition by The Master of The Worshipful Company of Cordwainers, established in London, England receiving its first Ordinances in 1272. We are proud to consider them our parent-guild and continue to uphold the highest standards for our trade.
