- The James H. Kellar Library contains several thousand books, reports, and magazine and newsletter runs pertaining to archaeology and anthropology; the Ermine-Wheeler Voegelin Archives, which contains The Great Lakes-Ohio Valley Ethnohistory Collection, an enormous amount of papers collected in evidence of land claim disputes between the United States federal government and the Native American tribes; the archeology papers of Eli Lilly, the pharmaceutical mogul; the personal papers of notable Indiana University archeologists; the records of the Midwest Archeological Conference; and the institutional records of the Glenn A. Black Laboratory; and the Glenn A. Black Laboratory Fieldwork Archives, which contains excavation records, field notebooks, maps, inventories, and other types of documentation.

- The Glenn A. Black Laboratory of Archaeology is a university-centered research laboratory, museum, library, and meeting place for the discovery, preservation, exhibition, and celebration of Indiana’s rich cultural and archaeological heritage. It is a repository for archaeological artifacts, data, and documentation for sites in the Midwest including those associated with Indiana’s largest archaeological site, Angel Mounds State Historic Site.
