Sobre mi biblioteca
As an avid reader, there are many, many books I could add. But some of the best have made it here.

The Oz series by L. Frank Baum. I was in love. From such an early age, I couldn't get enough. My poor parents! Every Christmas and birthday I was gifted another of the very extensive series (I kept going into Thompson's take on it as well) and this was before the internet and before they were re-released. They were NOT easy to find and probably even more difficult to afford. But I have them still and look forward to the day I can share them with my children.

I did not have the time, or quite frankly the energy, to add The Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, Cherry Ames, and a dozen other Grosset & Dunlap series books that occupied so many hours for me. But a few Judy Bolton series books by Margaret Sutton made the list. The ones I've listed, I've read. The rest of the series, it saddens me to say, I could never quite get my hands on - despite multiple library requests. To this day I scour library book sales for copies (the book stores all seem to know what they possess and the price tags are never within my means.) This series was a first for me. It marked the first time I've read about, and loved, a character that aged. Unlike Nancy, Frank and Joe, or Dorothy who never seemed very real to me; Judy gets older, dates, gets married, raises children, moves on in life. I read each one, wondering why no one else could write this, write life as I saw it unfolding. And it was not until Rowling that I discovered this magic again. It has resonated with me and ensured that every character I ever write will grow, even if the space is a short period of time, change will occur. It's my one clear goal, regardless of what I'm describing, to make sure the reader experiences growth.

Tolkien, Carroll, White, Spyri. All childhood friends. The rest is mostly newer reads, market reads, and wonderful finds. Everything I have here I can recommend on some level or for some purpose.

Happy Reading!
